  • 1972 Born in Zama City, Kanagawa Prefecture in Japan.
  • 1998 MA in Painting at Tama Art University, Tokyo.
    • Studied etching under Yukio Fukazawa, Mayumi Morino and Tatsumasa Watanabe.
  • 1998-2000 Research Assistant in the Department of Printmaking at Tama Art University, Tokyo.
  • 2000-2002 Research Associate in the Department of Printmaking at Tama Art University, Tokyo.
  • 2001 A member of the operating committee for the Tokyo International Mini-print Triennial 2002
    • Tama Art University Museum, Tokyo (organised by the Tama Art University).
  • 2002 Consultant to the Tama Art University Lifelong Learning Program, Tokyo.
    • Visited Korea on a cultural mission at the invitation of the Busan Fine Art’s Association.
  • 2002-2003 Taught by Mitsuo Kano on the Internship Program for Rising Artists run by
    • the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs.
  • 2003 Won a prize at the 11th International Biennial Print and Drawing Exhibition,
    • National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts,Taichung and was a panellist at the International Symposium organised in conjunction with the exhibition at the invitation of the Council for Cultural Affairs, Taiwan.

    • 2008-2009 Won a residency in Paris under the Japanese Government’s Overseas Study Program for Artists.
